We are worth more than a “like”. But, I’m sure our parents never imagined that their daughters would grow up obsessed with their internet self-image. Yet, there are parents of millions of girls who have been swallowed whole by social media.
The millennial generation had the unique experience of growing up surrounded by social tech innovation. Because of this, constant access to information and people has made our lives easier.
Social media was created to keep people connected by sharing their lives through posts and pictures.
Yet every rose has its thorn. Now girls struggle with question am I worth more than a “like”? And, the platforms that were made to keep us connected have never made us feel more alone.
