JKLTip Split your current effort into percentiles and identify at least 1 percent (15 minutes per day) to working on something a little bit crazy
Premise: There is value in not being stupid when it comes to business, health and relationships. Beyond that, don’t try to be “realistic”, try to be audacious? I was looking up at the sky, obviously phone in pocket and saw this airplane, snapped the ol’ two sided photo, and thought that is actually crazy. The first commercial flight was one hundred years ago. In the last hundred years we went from no flights to more than 100,000 flights per day !!! .
Hahahahahahahahahahahah
Sorry, that is definitely laugh out loud material. It’s actually crazy, but it’s the reality, it happened. So rarely, if ever are there times that someone comes up with an idea that is not possible
.
Yet, again and again, when I talk with people who want to start a business, or take on a career path, and sadly most of these are youth, I hear all the time “my family will think it’s crazy”, or “it’s not realistic”. If you find yourself in this trap, just think of the audacity people had in their moment to create the inventions we have come to see as normal today
.
For those still scared, here’s some good News: You can do both in today’s day and age. If your “crazy” idea is to live off of a youtube channel that reviews nail polish, or to be the Zoolander of Instagram, then do that, as much as you can, while doing something more traditional to whatever extent you NEED to pay the bills. While other people are sleeping, edit videos, or take photographs, to whatever extent you can to stay healthy. Work as many waking hours as you can on this love, this “crazy” hobby, to the extent you can, without ruining personal relationships that are important for you
