JKLTip What is your ideal goal two years from now? What are your biggest fears and biggest joys? What systems, or habits would push away from the fears and toward joys?
What is our greatest fear, what is our greatest joy and how can we follow a path that will lead us to our goals? On one side we have extreme fears, on the other side we have wonderful aspirations. This is the fork in the road of our mind of course. Or at least it should be. It should be if we want to live as freely as we would like to. After years of meeting incredible people, reading inspiring books and taking on my own challenges that within the realm of possibility we truly can achieve what we want, but there are hacks no doubt
.
The fork in our mind is one of these hacks. Think of where you would be in your wildest dreams, two years from now. What does it look like? How does it make you feel? Now that becomes the big dream goal. We place this goal at the end of the path. Two years from now, by 24 months, it would be awesome to be there
.
Now to the left we have our biggest fears. What are the soul crushing, worse case scenarios that should the happen scare the shit out of us? For me, it’s the classic, straight simple, dying, especially without being able to say goodbye to my family, my girls. To the right we have absolute joy, the absolute can’t even believe it, could never have imagined life this great type stuff. For me, it’s financial independence and the opportunity to connect with friends, family and hobbies any time, any how I want
.
As we strive toward our goal, over the next two years, we have to pave the path with as many systems and habits that will push us away from the scary side and drive us as close as possible to the ultimate excitement of the right. Where will we ultimately land? No doubt somewhere in the middle, right where we want to be two years from now, but the best way it happens is by doing as many things, learning as much as possible to statistically prevent the fears and promote the joys
