Haters in your head

Haters In Your Head, Justtries

Haters in your head is a common reason for giving up on ambitions. Sometimes we give up on dreams just to fit in. We think that no one else around us cares about our idea, so we might as well keep it a secret. Or we feel like other people will judge, mock, or doubt us and so we don’t want that bi-product.

Here’s the thing though, no matter what you choose to do, no matter how successful you are, there will be a group of haters.

Whether acting out of boredom, disagreement, or jealousy these people will exist. It’s simple statistics, in fact, the more you have a positive impact on people, the more haters you will accrue. It’s best to believe the classic line that those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind, while remaining open to feedback and moving on.

It Could Be Your Inner Circle

Your closest support network can often be your biggest haters in a way. This is way too familiar and one of the most valuable reasons for a membership like “Momentum”. So often those we would expect to love us unconditionally are the ones who slow us down.

Parents, siblings, teachers, therapists, and coaches can all lead to people giving up on their dreams. Oftentimes they mean well and give us advice, or steer us in a direction out of love. But changing their worldview may be next to impossible so the best course of action is to lean into those who really do support you unconditionally.
